How to remove the Ask a question buttons from your community and replace it with the Contact us button

Last Updated - had a "Post a Public Question" link on the portal where your portal users could open a Q&A case with your agents and the community. By default, Service Cloud has a similar feature called Ask a question that will ask a question in chatter so that users can collaborate more efficiently that is configured as part of the community.

This article will explain how to remove this feature from your community if you decide that you do not want customers to Ask a question to the community.

1. To edit the community theme go to Setup.

2. Then type  All Communities in the quick find box.

3. Then Click on Builder next to the community that you want to edit.

4.The Ask a question button is located in two places. The one at the bottom is also tied to the Contact Support button which we will also replace.
Click the trashcan icon for each component.

5.Then go to the components icon, and select Contact Support Button, and drag and drop it on the Sidebar Featured section.

If you want to rename the button title, you can otherwise click the X to close the floating window.

6. Click Publish

7.Click Preview to see the changes.

This change only affects the home page.

You will need to go to each relevant page and make this change there as needed
